Twelve hours after three people were injured in a late-night shooting on Charleston's peninsula, remnants of the bloodshed still marred the peninsula's east side.
Spatters of blood and partial footprints were baked into the hot concrete on South Street, from Drake to America Streets, as sections of yellow crime scene tape separating the space between two apartment buildings at the Wragg Borough Homes public housing complex was still visible after the July 13 shooting.
Officers with the Charleston Police Department were dispatched to America and South streets around 10:40 p.m. on July 13, according to a statement from spokesperson Sgt. Chris Stinson.
