🪴 Nutrients

How to fertilize Graptoveria A Grim One

Graptoveria A Grim One Care 101: Water, Light & Growing Tips (8)

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.

By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.

To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Graptoveria A Grim One after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Soft leaves, and mold spots ? My new graptoveria was super healthy and happy when I got it. I repotted with a very well draining soil mix, and watered it because it seemed dehydrated once I moved it to my grow light area. Its leaves have became soft, but not translucent, as well as a few spots that look like powdery mildew popping up on some leaves. I watered it once and treated with fungicide and insecticide, but it’s not seeming to firm back up yet. I can’t figure out what’s going on if it’s dehydrated, sick or overwatered. Leaves haven’t dropped but they are soft? #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #PestControl #PlantInfo #GreggersSupportingGreggers #GregGang #Succulents #Succulent #PlantAddict

Is this a little baby on my Graptoveria April Dawn? 🌱also, is the ID correct? Greg keeps saying it’s a Lipstick Echeveria but it looks much more like April Dawn to me. But I’m new to succulents! #SucculentSquad #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #SucculentLove #babevila

Still learning about succulents—is my opalina producing offsets? If so, how can I separate them/when should I? They are in the middle of each side of the plant, so would I have to sacrifice the leaves underneath them? Any advice is appreciated, I’m still such a novice with these! PS: don’t mind the cinnamon on the plant, there was an accidental puncture of a leaf the other day so I sprinkled some to keep any baddie infections away. #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #PropagationStation

Why is my Graptosedum Blue Pearl turning yellow/dropping lower leaves/shriveling? Ever since I got my blue pearl grapto. Hybrid, it had some yellow almost translucent-ish leaves that were almost deflated looking, and have fell off overtime. I didn’t water it when I got it, but when I finally did water it didn’t change anything, making it worse or better. After that I thought maybe it was root bound or needed some new dirt/nutrients. But it is still doing the yellowing and dropping thing. When I got the plant to the car from Home Depot, a single fungus knat flew out the nursery pot, and I was able to kill it. However it’s in new dirt, and has since then been treated with arber insecticide and fungicides. Can someone give some ideas suggestions?? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #GregGang #GreggersSupportingGreggers #PlantTherapy #fungusgnats #helpneeded #SucculentSquad #Succulents #SucculentLove #succulent #GrowingSuccs

Update on my order from mountain crest gardens I got a month ago. These are in my tiered planter. I have been mostly keeping them outside since the weather has been nice lately. Mostly full sun, and watering a lot more frequently since they have been in bright direct light most the day. They have definitely grown and changed colors, they are healthy and happy as of right now. 1.Graptoveria ‘Debbie’2. Echeveria PVN3. Graptopetalum ‘Superbum’4. Echeveria ‘Atlantis’5. • Graptoveria A Grim One Care 101: Water, Light & Growing Tips (18)

Is my succulent ready to be repotted into soil? Last month, due their withering/beginning to die, I cut my some of my succulents at the stems (removing all of their roots in the process) as I felt they needed a complete restart. Per some advice I recieved here, I placed the freshly cut succulents over water, with only the very ends of the stems submerged, so they would grow roots faster. This worked magic - in just a few days, the stems in the water had grown baby roots. I left them in for a little over a week, replacing the water regularly, so they’d grow enough to be ready to be replaced into soil.I believe the succulent picture below is ready for this move, but I am questioning a) whether you all agree, and b) whether the roots look healthy, in general. The end does seem a little water logged (as expected) - is that okay, or might it be beginning to rot (or at risk of doing so)? Also, if I do place it back into soil, how long should I wait to water? To preface, I moved some other succulents that had undergone the same process back into their pots after what I thought to be sufficient root growth, and they ended up declining pretty quickly (one stem rotted, so I had to cut it again and restart; the other dried out and lost a bunch of leaves). If you’re familiar with this process, any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽

🧐 Troubleshooting

When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.

Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.

Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.

Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
