What a place. I would suggest hire a guide (easily available there in just 100 RS). Guide will tell you the historic significance of this place and also help you to understand the ancient tools to measure time. Amazing to know the ancient tools and techniques existed during ancient times. Such a calm and lovely place to visit. It is so near to the Mahakal Temple. Must must visit.
I visited it when i was younger and now after so many days when revisiting ujjain. They have developed significantly the place since then , what was lacking is something to explain the structures in simpler understandable terms. If you wish visit then Better do it in daytime , as most of them depend on daylight.
