Place is must to when you visit ujjain also the items are well preserved and well maintained. Luckily i got a guide so it was helpful. It has painting and sculptures
Absolutely beautiful museum in the ancient town of Ujjain. Their diverse collection of sculpture, inscriptions, paintings and other artifacts is a haven for history and art buffs. It is very well maintained and the staff is well informed about the history and provenance of each of their pieces.It is around 2km from the Mahakaleshwara temple. Entry fee-₹20 per head. You will need around 3.5-4 hours to see it thoroughly.
