As a volunteer with Beat and someone who despairs at all-pervasive diet culture and the chronic under-funding of mental health services, Eating Disorders Awareness Week seemed like as good a moment as any to celebrate three resources which helped me along my own slow journey:📚 An Apple a Day: A Memoir of Love and Recovery from Anorexia, by Emma Woolf - an honest account of what it takes to overcome an eating disorder.📚 Just Eat It: How intuitive eating can help you get your sh*t together around food, by Laura Thomas - a no-nonsense challenge to listen to your hunger.🎤 Abbie Attwood Wellness - an anti-diet nutritionist influencer and creator of brilliant content like the image below. Carbs aren't only joy, they are also just food.

My highlights from The Earthshot Prize week in Singapore:👸 Jacinda Ardern rounding off a speech by singing onstage with a Mauri choir. As if she could get any better.🎤 Hosting a storytelling workshop for 120 youth leaders when my body clock still thought it was 2am. Very grateful for coffee.👩👩👧👦 Seeing our YouTube partnership come to life with amazing creator presence including Sorted Food and Ayamé P.💃 Waltzing the green carpet at the Awards ceremony (see smug grin) 🍲 Unbelievable food from hawker market food stalls with Alexander Lee and Stephen Ferdinando. Satay or laksa in the UK has forever been ruined for me.Congratulations to all of the Earthshot winners & finalists. Watch the awards show stream on YouTube from Sunday!
